Are you ready for change? If so, please ask your state senator to support AARP’s Nursing Home CARE (Creating Accountability, Reform and Excellence) Plan. The CARE Plan includes HB1013, SB142 and SB280 with amendments. The CARE Plan seeks to end the overuse of antipsychotics in nursing homes, increase access to alternative services, including home health, and require nursing homes to provide quality care in order to be paid.

We are all tired of Oklahoma nursing home care and safety being ranked among the worst in the nation. It is unconscionable that we are not providing the care and dignity our state’s most frail and vulnerable deserve.
