Consumers, take note! Next Thursday, November 15 the Financial Fraud Institute will be holding a free fraud presentation with experts from federal and local law enforcement and regulatory agencies. They will outline steps to spot and avoid fraud, as well as provide information about what to do if you believe you have been the target of a scam. The Keynote Speaker will be Chief Magistrate Judge Paul M. Warner.
The Investor Fraud panel will include experts from the Utah Division of Securities, the U.S. Attorney's Office, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The Consumer Fraud panel will include experts from the Utah Division of Consumer Protection, the Utah Office of the Attorney General, the IRS, and the FBI.
