AARP Utah and Fox 13 held our four annual shredding event in Midvale and Ogden, and it was a rousing success! Unfortunately, so many of you came out to shred that Shred-it's trucks in Midvale were filled to capacity before everyone made it through the line. Therefore, they've generously offered their services to those people who came out but weren't able to shred their documents on July 14.
The AARP Fraud Watch Network brings fraud-fighting efforts to consumers nationwide in “ Operation: Stop Scams” -- a month-long series of events in communities coast-to-coast, as AARP state organizations sponsor more than 150 free local events in nearly every state and the District of Columbia from Friday, April 14, through Tuesday, May 16, 2017.
At AARP, we're serious about wanting to help consumers fight identity theft! That's why we're teaming up once again with Fox 13 News and Shred-It to offer free shredding events, this time in both Midvale and Ogden on Saturday, July 16 from 8:00am--11:00am. This event is open to the public, regardless of age or AARP membership. Shredding sensitive financial documents and other materials that contain personal information will prevent thieves from using these data to open false accounts or lines of credit.
Mark your calendar for July 16, and join us to fight fraud and shred! AARP Utah is once again teaming up with Fox 13 News and Shred-it to offer two free shredding events! Both will occur on Saturday, July 16 from 8:00am--11:00am. The Salt Lake City area event will take place at 6925 Union Park Center parking lot in Midvale, UT 84047. In Ogden, find us at the Golden Spike Event Center, West Parking Lot, at 1000 North 1200 West, 84404.
