AARP Foundation is looking to expand its team of volunteers for the upcoming tax season by recruiting interested individuals. Tax-Aide is an AARP Foundation program that offers free tax filing help for those who need it most, especially adults 50 and older, during the tax season.

AARP Foundation is looking to build its team of volunteers for its Tax-Aide program. Tax-Aide is a free tax assistance and preparation program for taxpayers with low to moderate income through the AARP Foundation.

AARP Foundation provides free tax assistance and preparation for tax payers with low to moderate income through the Tax-Aide program and is currently seeking volunteer tax preparers.  AARP Foundation Tax-Aide, in its 46 th year, is the nation’s largest free tax assistance and preparation service, giving special attention to the older population.  There are no age restrictions and it is not necessary to be a member of AARP nor a retiree to use this service.

Congratulations to AARP Utah's Community Outreach Director Jill Duke, who was honored April 17 as the Utah Food Bank's Board Member of the Year.  The remarks by Board Chair Scott Jensen honoring her for this award follow below:

AARP Utah is pleased to announce the appointment of Donna Russell as Utah's new State President and leader of our Executive Council.  This position is the top volunteer role in Utah.  Donna will guide of team of leadership volunteers to shape and execute AARP's statewide priorities.  The appointment was made by Carlos Brandenburg, AARP West Region's Volunteer Director.

Do you value fairness in our state courts? Would you like to use your observation and writing skills to help improve Utah’s courts? The Judicial Performance Evaluation Commission [“JPEC”] is seeking citizen volunteers to observe and evaluate judges throughout the state.

In its "50 Heroes, 50 States" list, MONEY magazine selected AARP Utah Area Coordinator Art Sutherland to be Utah's representative as a person doing creative and extraordinary work to help the finances of others in their state.  Art was nominated by Coalition of Religious Communities Director Linda Hilton and AARP Utah Communications Director Laura Polacheck for his outstanding work on predatory lending issues in the state.
