Representatives of Vermont Health Connect are traveling to communities throughout the state through September to continue the health reform community forums series. The forums are an opportunity to learn more about Vermont Health Connect and the new health care options available in October. Vermont Health Connect will offer Vermonters a new way to choose a health insurance plan that fits their needs and budget.

“We are working to ensure that all Vermonters have the information they need to find the right health plan for them,” said Mark Larson, Commissioner of the Department of Vermont Health Access. “From small business owners to individuals and families, every Vermonter is invited to our forums to learn more.”

At VermontHealthConnect.gov, Vermonters will be able to make side-by-side comparisons of their health coverage options. Both private and public plans will be available through Vermont Health Connect and, starting October 1, all the information needed to find the right plan will be available in one place.  For Vermonters who have questions or need assistance enrolling, expert help will be offered online, by phone, and in-person.

The forums follow a slate of June sessions in Enosburg Falls, Waterbury and Putney (June 13). The newly announced events, which are free and open to public, will be held at the following dates, times and locations:
