Caring for a parent, spouse, or other loved one can be a 24/7 job that is emotionally, physically and financially difficult. That’s why AARP works tirelessly to support family caregivers, striving to make your big responsibilities a little bit easier.
Over one million Virginians take on all the ultimate labor of love to be caregivers for their loved ones, which is why AARP wants to help make this big responsibility a little easier. So they are teaming up with the Arlington View and Nauck Community Area Churches to present a “Caregiver’s Breakfast.”
A growing number of workers in Virginia face the demand and challenges that often are associated with providing care for a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease or other memory problems.
AARP believes family caregivers aren’t celebrated nearly enough. Older parents, spouses and other loved ones can remain in their homes because their caregivers are dedicated to keeping them safe. AARP is fighting for more support, help at home, workplace protections, training, and more.
