Walking
Tucker, Jeannie - JTTucker

Manchester’s Parks and Recreation Department has released the fall dates for 2018’s “Walk for your Health” program. This walking group is open to people of all ages who want to get out in the fresh air, exercise and meet new friends!

The fall series will run through Monday, November 12, with walks taking place on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 9:00 AM at a variety of locations.

AARP will be present at the first walk of each month, handing out treats and providing information on local programs and events!

Here are more details on the November dates:

Friday, November 2 – Livingston Park
AARP will be present!
Parking: Livingston parking lot near the warming hut, 156 Hooksett Road, Manchester
Start: Near the warming hut, on a paved path around the pond

Monday, November 5 – Stark Park
Parking: Inside Stark Park near Gazebo (not on the grass)

Participants are welcome to walk as far as their comfort level takes them. But don’t forget to fill out your mile sheet weekly, because every mile walked enters one raffle ticket into the end of year raffle drawings!

Remember to wear firm, comfortable footwear and loose clothing. There will be a one-time $3.00 registration fee to help defray some of the program expenses. In case of inclement weather, walks will be held at the Mall of New Hampshire.

So break out those sneakers and experience your favorite morsels of Manchester this fall with a walk through the Queen City!
