The Manchester Parks and Recreation’s “Walk for your Health” program is returning for its fall session, and AARP has all the details!  This walking group is open to people of all ages who want to get out in the crisp air, exercise and meet new friends!  The series will run from Wednesday, September 6 – Monday, November 13, with walks taking place on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 9:00 AM and beginning from a variety of locations.

Participants are welcome to walk as far as their comfort level takes them.  But remember to fill out your mile sheet weekly, because every mile walked enters one raffle ticket into the end of year raffle drawings!

A list of the dates and locations can be found here. AARP will be present at the first walk of each month, handing out treats and providing information on local programs and events!

Remember to wear firm, comfortable footwear and loose clothing.  There will be a one-time $3.00 registration fee to help defray some of the program expenses.  In case of inclement weather, walks will be held at the Mall of New Hampshire.

If you get hooked in the fall, a spring session will run from April through June!  For more information, call Erik of the Parks and Recreation Department at (603) 624-6444.

So break out those sneakers and experience your favorite morsels of Manchester this fall with a walk through the Queen City!
