Meet new friends and have fun while staying healthy as part of Roanoke’s newest walking group. We are moving forward!
Walking is a terrific way to keep your mind and body healthy, meet new friends and enjoy the beautiful weather as summer transitions into fall.
The walking group is scheduled to meet most Monday mornings and we walk rain or shine. The detailed schedule including locations, routes and times is listed below.

Walking for Grownups is free, open to all ages and is pet friendly. Everyone is welcome to walk at their own pace, and walk as little or as much of the route as they choose. Advanced walkers will go 5K (approx. 3.1 miles). We expect the walk to be completed within 1- 1.25 hours. Bottled water and other surprise gifts are included! Walkers are not required to be members of AARP to participate.
