Living Unequally: Disrupting Health Disparities in the District
The past two years have seen an explosion of crypto currency scams which has led many people to ask the same question - how? For too long, America’s seniors have paid the highest prices in the world for prescription drugs. Thankfully, landmark drug pricing reforms that AARP helped secure have started to go into effect. Our organization fought the big drug companies over these commonsense reforms for more than 20 years, and today, the new law is bringing real relief for the nearly 95,000 District residents currently enrolled in Medicare.

Use Your Power to Decide the 2022 Election
In honor of its 60th Anniversary, AARP teamed up with a nonprofit organization to embark on an ambitious project to place an outdoor fitness park organized by FitLot in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. AARP is also investing in robust programming at each location. Programming involves a 45 to 60 minute instructor-led demonstration of the equipment and group circuit training.
Seniors should never have to make a choice between paying for needed medication and other necessities like food or rent, and tens of millions of adults in Medicare drug plans will soon have peace of mind knowing their out-of-pocket expenses are limited every year.
