Remember the good old days of fun at summer camp as a kid. Well, AARP Wisconsin and YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee are turning back the clock for anyone age 50-plus to join them for a day camp experience they won’t soon forget.
Campers will have the opportunity to participate in fun activities and make new friends at this all-inclusive day camp experience at Camp Minikani in Hubertus on Thursday, Aug. 23.
Activities at the summer camp will include: archery, climbing wall, bingo, crafts, boating, paddle boarding/canoeing and fishing*. This will be a great experience that will take people back to their youth and enjoy some of these summer camp experiences all over again.
Bus transportation will be provided from the following locations**:
Northside YMCA, 1350 W. North Ave.
Rite Hite YMCA, 9250 W. Brown Deer Rd.
College Avenue Park & Ride, I-43/I-94/County ZZ, Northeast Corner.
Buses will depart from pick-up locations around 8:15 a.m. and will depart from the camp around 2:30 p.m.
*Fishing poles and bait will be provided. Participants must possess a Wisconsin fishing license per DNR rules and regulations.
**All campers are required to travel by bus to/from the camp site. Parking is not available.
