Secure Your Future at AARP Retirement Planning Workshops

Being financially secure in retirement is not just about money. It requires planning and a realistic understanding of your needs and wants plus the benefits Social Security and Medicare provide after you stop working.

That’s why AARP Hawai ‘i is offering free weekly “Think of Your Future” webinars on Saturdays starting March 5 at 9 a.m. through April 2. Topics covered include Ten Steps to Get Ready for Retirement, Understanding Social Security, Medicare Basics and two sessions on investing.

Register to get a Zoom link at aarp.cventevents.com/future2022 or go to aarp.org/nearyou and click on the AARP Events link to see and register for all the virtual events AARP Hawai`i is offering. The webinars will also be simulcast on Facebook Live on the AARP Hawai`i Facebook page.

The webinars will run for about an hour and a half, including time for questions. There will also be a short presentation on AARP Hawai`i’s efforts in the to create a Hawai`i retirement savings program to help small businesses and an estimated 215,000 local workers who do not currently have a way to save at work for retirement.

The workshops are free and you don’t have to be a member to attend. The workshops are facilitated by AARP volunteers. No individual financial advice will be given, and no products or services will be sold.

All webinars begin at 9 a.m. on Saturdays. The schedule is as follows:

March 19: Medicare Basics
March 26: Investment Basics
April 2:       Investing for Retirement
