AARP Eye Center
At AARP, we have a proud 32-year history of non-partisan voter engagement, providing voters with information on where the candidates stand on issues important to our members and their families, so they can make their own decisions on Election Day.
It’s important that more Hoosiers make their voices heard. Here in Indiana, nearly 400,000 fewer voters 50+ voted in the 2014 midterm elections as they did in the 2016 presidential election. Just this year, only 20 percent of eligible voters participated in this past May’s primary.
It is because of numbers like that, AARP has launched “Be the Difference. Vote,” a multifaceted campaign designed to maximize the influence of America’s 50-plus voters. The campaign seeks to get the largest possible turnout of voters, age 50-plus to the polls in the November general election. It will also put front and center issues like Medicare security and family caregiving, along with other topics of particular interest to older voters.
We are excited to announce that we will be hosting two separate live streaming events to give YOU a chance to talk with your candidates for Senator this election season. Senator Joe Donnelly will be joining us Monday, September 10 at 3:30 pm ET, and candidate for Senator, Mike Braun, will be stopping by on Wednesday, September 12 at 4 pm ET.
Join us for each event to ask YOUR questions and get to know your choices as a voter.
