The coronavirus pandemic has added even more stress to family caregivers.
Hoosiers with loved ones in nursing homes and long-term care facilities now must consider the effects the virus (that is especially deadly for older people) is having on basic necessities.
This is a factor in every issue – down to whether or not in-person visitation of a family member or loved one is safe and appropriate.
“It is vital that every Hoosier is prepared and aware of the realities of COVID-19,” Addison Pollock, AARP Indiana Director of Community Engagement, said. “If you have a loved one in a long-term care facility, you should have peace of mind and know if they’re well taken care of during these unprecedented times.”
