Bloomington, Ind. – At its December 13 meeting, the Bloomington Common Council adopted a new ordinance that will improve accessibility for people who are deaf or experiencing any kind of hearing loss.
The Indiana Public Health Association (IPHA) recognized AARP Indiana with the Public Health Impact Award at its annual gathering and celebration November 30.
AARP Indiana is working to help address a statewide shortage of affordable housing, including helping fund and build a Habitat for Humanity home in Evansville. Other steps include advocating for zoning adjustments and initiatives aimed at diversifying Indiana’s housing stock.
The Indiana Emergency Medical Services Commission has approved more than 30 community paramedicine programs offered by public and private concerns that cover all or parts of more than 50 of the state’s counties.
