AARP members and guests in the Fort Wayne area are invited to tour the historic Allen County Courthouse on Saturday, Nov. 9.
Completed in 1902 and restored beginning in the 1990s, the ornately decorated structure is a designated National Historic Landmark, as well as a working court and government office. The guided tours will describe the courthouse’s history, the local leaders behind preservation efforts and restoration techniques.
Tours will be offered hourly from 9 a.m. until noon. To register, visit aarp.org/in.
