Job Search Training Program for 50+ Professional Job Seekers

Are you over age 50 and frustrated by your job search? The Jewish Council on Aging’s Career Gateway Program can help you hone your resume, polish your networking and interviewing skills, use Internet job search resources more effectively, and turn your age and experience to your advantage.

Each session of the Career Gateway features 30 hours of small-group classroom instruction over five days, comprehensive take-home materials, practical exercises, and a long-term mentor for a fee of $75.
Sessions run from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.  

2022 Sessions:
#1: September 12, 14, 16, 19, 21 – 2022 (Interactive and Online)
#2: October 31 & November 2, 4, 7, 9 - 2022

 2023 Sessions:
#3: January 17, 18, 20, 23, 25 – 2023
#4: February 27 & March 1, 3, 6, 8 – 2023
#5: April 17, 19, 21, 24, 26 – 2023
#6: June 5, 7, 9, 12, 14 – 2023

Due to health concerns relating to the COVID-19 outbreak and out of concern for the health of participants and volunteers, our September 2022 session and tech classes will continue to be an interactive, Zoom, online experience. 

Same curriculum, class facilitator, presenters and volunteers addressing all of the important job-seeking skills as JCA's in-class programming.

Although we do hope to return to offering some sessions in the in-person format, because of the uncertainty of this virus, we do not currently know the status of future sessions.

When we do return to full in-person classes, they will be held at JCA’s facility at 12320 Parklawn Drive, Rockville, MD.
