Volunteer Advocates Needed in Maryland!

Advocacy Volunteer
Become an advocate in Maryland for those 50+! Many opportunities are available.

Thanks to all who attended this event! Look for our next advocacy day in 2016.

Want to lend your voice in support of Maryland's 50+ community? AARP Maryland is seeking volunteer advocates to join us in Annapolis during the 2016 legislative session, and an upcoming training session will educate you on what we do. You'll have a chance to make a meaningful difference in your community and statewide on important issues like family caregiving and retirement savings.

Get involved! AARP Maryland is hosting a Volunteer Advocates Training on November 4, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the House Office Building, 6 Bladen St, Annapolis, in the Montgomery County Delegation room. [Get directions]

You'll learn about our 2016 legislative agenda and we'll teach you strategies and tactics for effectively communicating with lawmakers. We will hear from Delegate Bonnie Cullison and also take a tour of Annapolis Legislative Campus, including the State House, Senate and House Office Buildings!

Light breakfast and box lunch will be served. RSVP today at aarp.cvent.com/MDAdvocates15.
