AARP MI volunteer collaborates on prize video

Randlee Bloom

AARP Create the Good won bronze in the 2017 Spring Digital Health Awards (Digital Health Media/Video category) for its video encouraging healthcare professionals to volunteer their skills.

The video drives viewers to a special campaign page on CTG.org geared toward this audience.  It was produced, pro bono, by PixelDust, in collaboration with CTG lead Carole Ricks and CTG Ambassador and AARP Michigan volunteer Randee Bloom.

Bloom is a Registered Nurse and former hospital administrator who has an MBA and a doctoral degree in public service leadership. She is a member of the AARP Michigan Executive Council.

When the video was developed, Bloom commented:

“For generations, dedicated health care providers have volunteered their time and expertise, serving communities in crisis and individuals at their greatest time of need. Now there is a new resource developed expressly to help health care professionals find volunteer opportunities that fit their experience, skills and passions.”

Among the other Digital Health Award Winners:  AARP The Magazine, which took home silver in the Mobile Applications Tool/Tablet category.
