AARP Michigan TV show kicks off Tuesday

WLAJ-TV Real Possibilities Show week 1

Real Possibilities, a new AARP Michigan TV show, will premiere on WLAJ-TV in the Lansing/Jackson area at 9 a.m. Tuesday, right after Good Morning America.

The half-hour show will be available digitally in other markets across the state.

The kickoff program will be about voter engagement. A guest panel delves into what issues will be hot in this year’s election season, who is expected to turn out at the polls and why it’s so important for you to vote. Be the Difference. Vote is AARP’s voter engagement theme this year.

The conversation features Bernie Porn, veteran pollster of EPIC/MRA of Lansing; Ken Sikkema, former State Senate Majority Leader and Senior Fellow at Public Sector Consultants; and Melissa Seifert, Associate State Director for Governmental Affairs for AARP Michigan. AARP Michigan State Director Paula D. Cunningham is the moderator.

The second part of the show will feature brief interviews with experts on issues such as caregiving, elder law and fitness.

Future episodes will tackle topics affecting you and your family, including fraud and scam prevention, making communities more livable for all ages, Good Form Walking and older workers in the job market.

So tune in every Tuesday at 9 a.m., or watch for Real Possibilities on Facebook or our web page.
