JULY

Wednesday, July 3  -  Lathrup Village Concert Series.  Join us for another day at the Lathrup Village Concert Series! The Detroit Symphony Orchestra Youth Ensemble will be featured this Wednesday. Admission is free, parking is free; be sure to bring your lawn chair.
Location: Municipal Park Gazebo. 27400 Southfield Road, Lathrup Village.
Time: 7:00 to 8:30 pm. 


Tuesday, July 9  -  Intro to iPhone: AARP Tech Workshop.  Explore the iPhone's capabilities with new technology users like you! You'll learn about texting, photos, apps, and browsing. All participants will get hands-on experience with devices, and a free touchscreen stylus pen. Two sessions available this day. Be sure to register – seating is limited!
Location: Southfield Parks and Recreation Building, Rooms 222-223. 26000 Evergreen Road, Southfield.
Session 1 - Time: 10:00 to 11:30 am.  RSVP for Session 1

Tuesday, July 9  -  Beyond the Basics - iPhone: AARP Tech Workshop.  Supercharge your tech skills! If you’ve mastered the basics and want to elevate your iPhone know-how, this intermediate workshop is for you. All participants will get hands-on experience with devices, and a free touchscreen stylus pen. Two sessions available this day. Be sure to register – seating is limited!

Sunday, July 21  -  AARP Careversations. Join us for this lightly facilitated conversation about family caregiving with light refreshments.

SEPTEMBER

Sunday, September 8  -  Grandparents Day Celebration. Our annual event honors the special bond between grandparents and their grandchild(ren). Enjoy exhibit and museum tours, old & new school games, music, the AARP health and wellness zone, healthy snacks and fun, and more! Be sure to RSVP here!

Saturday, September 21  -  Shred Truck Events.  Help us fight fraud and protect your identity. Gather all of those old documents that have sensitive information, such as names, Social Security numbers, etc. and bring them to our shred trucks. Two events are scheduled for this date; we hope to see you there!
Event 1 - Location: Delta Sigma Theta. 24760 W Seven Mile Road, Detroit.

Sunday, September 28  -  AARP Multicultural Fashion Show. Enjoy fashions from Chinese, Latino, African American and unique Detroit cultures, which will be featured at our 4th annual Multicultural Fashion Show. Local designers and boutique owners, ages 50+ will be featured. We'll also host a special "Grandparent and Me" segment - You don't want to miss it! Reserve Your Seat!
