About 1.3 million Michiganders care for older parents or other loved ones, helping them to live independently in their own homes.
These family caregivers have a huge responsibility, and now the State of Michigan has taken action to make life a little bit easier for them.
A new law -- the Michigan CARE Act, which takes effect July 12 -- makes sure caregivers are recognized when their loved ones go into the hospital and as they transition home.
