Six artists over 50 featured during ArtPrize

AARP Michigan will highlight six artists over age 50 at the Women's City Club during ArtPrizeSeven in Grand Rapids from Sept. 23-Oct. 11.

These six -- Pamela Benjamin, 65 of Grand Rapids;  Deb Brown, of Williamston; Allan Gorman, 68 of West Orange, NJ; Robert Lee, 72 of Grand Rapids; Christine Olson, 69 of Grand Rapids;  and Doug Schwenter, 61 of Hudsonville -- have used art to reimagine their lives, whether it's pursuing art as a new career, revisiting art as a long-lost passion or using art to gain wisdom about life and self.
