It’s a powerful tribute to Nebraska’s legacy and the people who helped shape it.

About the Exhibition
"Woven with History: Timeless Textiles from the Aksarben Collection"
The Durham Museum has developed an exhibition that will showcase some of the extraordinary gowns and accessories that were part of Aksarben’s historic coronation ceremonies. The coronation infused local and international couture into a one-of-a-kind tradition that has been collected and preserved at The Durham Museum. The exhibition will trace Aksarben fashions through several eras of the coronation ball and share information about the people, designers, social history, and impact of Aksarben-related philanthropic activities associated with each of the nearly 20 dresses and other objects on display. The exhibition, "Woven with History: Timeless Textiles from the Aksarben Collection" will debut approximately one week before the 2025 Aksarben Ball and will continue through one of the busiest seasons at the museum.
