AARP Eye Center
AARP Nebraska will host listening sessions on key legislative issues affecting older Nebraskans in eight communities across the state from June 16 to June 26.
“This is an opportunity for residents to learn about AARP’s work at the State Capitol on behalf of Nebraskans age 50-plus, along with how they can get involved as a volunteer,” said Mark Intermill, advocacy director for AARP Nebraska.
During the sessions, AARP representatives will review what happened this year in the Nebraska Legislature in the areas of caregiving, independent living, tax relief, financial security and more.
“We will share information about these important efforts, and we especially want to hear from older Nebraskans about the issues that matter to them as AARP plans for the 2016 legislative session and beyond,” Intermill said.
The events will be held on the dates and locations below. Refreshments will be provided. Please RSVP for a session by June 10 by calling 1-877-926-8300 toll free or register online at https://aarp.cvent.com/AARPNEAdvocacyRoadTourJune2015
