These are the dog days of summer. You can help seniors beat the heat by donating a fan.
All the fans collected will be donated to Aging Partners for distribution to older adults in Lincoln and the surrounding area.
People over age 65 are more prone to heat stress than younger people. They do not adjust as easily to sudden changes in temperature. Heat stroke is the most serious heat-related illness for the elderly.
Please drop off your fan at this location:
Thursday, June 27 from 3-5 p.m. - Aging Partners Northeast Senior Center, 6310 Platte Ave., Lincoln.
