You’re invited to enjoy an afternoon at the movies with Age of Champions!

Join us in Lincoln on May14 for a special screening of the award-winning PBS documentary that the Washington Post called "infectiously inspiring." Age of Champions has sparked a grassroots movement to discuss issues of aging, health and fitness.

This uplifting story of five competitors who sprint, leap and swim for gold at the National Senior Olympics shows us that nothing is impossible.

You’ll meet a 100-year-old tennis champion, an 86-year-old pole vaulter and a team of rough and tumble basketball grandmothers as they triumph over the limitations of age and discover the resilience of the human spirit. Watch the trailer here.

Co-Producer Tad Ochwat will be with us to discuss the film and share an update on the Age of Champions athletes.

The movie will be shown on Wednesday, May 14 at 1:30 p.m. at Marcus Edgewood Cinema, located at 56 th St. and Highway 2.

There is no cost for the event, but seating is limited. Call Aging Partners at (402) 441-7158 by May 7 to reserve your ticket.

The event is cosponsored by AARP Nebraska and Aging Partners.
