Job hunting in your own backyard

Do you live in or near Omaha? If you are job hunting or wish to polish your job-seeking skills, look no further than your own backyard.

The 12 th Annual John Bernardi Job Fair, co-sponsored by Omaha Public Library and AARP Nebraska, will be held in Omaha from May 13 to May 16.

All of the week’s skill-building sessions and job fair will take place at the library’s Washington Branch at 2868 Ames Avenue. The events are free and no RSVP is required.

Many employers with openings will attend the job fair on May 16, including the City of Omaha, Metropolitan Community College and Gallup, Inc.

In addition, a panel of experts from a wide variety of backgrounds in the community will present on the following topics:

Tuesday, May 13, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Finding jobs in Omaha

Wednesday, May 14, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Tips to improve your resume

Thursday, May 15, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.

How to present yourself to employers

Friday, May 16, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
