Seeking Nominations for Top Community Service Award

Andrus Award

AARP Nebraska is seeking nominations for its annual Andrus Award for Community Service, which honors Nebraskans age 50 and over who have shared their experience, talent and skills to enrich their communities.

Named after AARP founder Ethel Percy Andrus, the award is the organization’s highest state-level honor for volunteers. AARP will donate $2,500 to the winner’s nonprofit of choice.

Nominations will be evaluated based on how a volunteer’s work has helped to improve their community, supported AARP’s vision and mission, and inspired other volunteers.

Find nomination forms at aarp.org/AndrusAward. For more information, contact the AARP Nebraska office at neaarp@aarp.org or at 866-389-5651. The application deadline is July 15. A winner will be announced in the fall.
