Cycling is a great way to exercise as you age. It has low impact, helps improve balance and burns calories.
One fun way to get started: AARP Vermont’s monthly rides, starting Thursday, May 16, in Burlington. They continue through August. All abilities are welcome for the one-hour rides and a social gathering afterward.
AARP is hosting a separate bike ride in July that starts in Morrisville on the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail, with free tune-ups and fitting sessions beforehand.
