Green Mountain Power’s Energy Assistance Program helps lower-income Vermonters afford energy for their homes. If you are eligible, you’ll get a 25% discount off the monthly charge for the first 600 kilowatt hours of energy you use.

Who is eligible?
To be eligible, you must:
- Be a residential customer of Green Mountain Power; and
- Have a gross monthly household income at or below 150% of the federal poverty level.

Vermont Gas Energy Assistance Program
VT Gas Energy Assistance helps low-income Vermonters afford natural gas for their homes. If we determine that you are eligible, you’ll get a 20% discount off your monthly natural gas bill.Who is eligible?
To be eligible, you must:
- Be a residential customer of Vermont Gas Systems, Inc.; and
- Have a gross monthly household income at or below 185% of the federal poverty level.
