Discover the Fun of Being a Tax-Aide Volunteer!

Tax Aid

We hear it all the time from volunteers with AARP Foundation Tax-Aide: It’s fun!

You can help at a Tax-Aide site right in your own community, and there are lots of ways to help — from being a greeter, to preparing returns, to serving in a leadership role or working with technology. You’ll get training for every role, and if you become a volunteer tax preparer, you’ll be IRS-certified and have the support and backup of the whole Tax-Aide team.

Since 1968, Tax-Aide has helped some 82 million taxpayers with low to moderate income — all through the efforts of tens of thousands of volunteers every year.

Please join the fun by joining a Tax-Aide team right in your community — and discover the genuine joy of helping others. Find out more at our upcoming Open House on October 9 at 2:00 p.m. at the AARP Vermont office in Burlington! Please email Phil Soltau for details on the event.
