“This event offers our members and volunteers an opportunity to engage with their elected representatives, to understand the legislative process, and to make sure they know where we stand on issues of concern,” says Colin Hilliard, AARP Vermont Director of Advocacy and Outreach. “It's important for older Vermonters to see their elected representatives at work and for lawmakers to hear directly from their constituents.”
The event underscores AARP Vermont's unwavering commitment to grassroots strategies and direct engagement between older Vermonters and elected officials. It serves as a testament to the organization's dedication to advocacy, community, and the overall betterment of its members' lives.
AARP Vermont invites all volunteers and community members to join them on March 13 at the state Capitol as they stand together in solidarity to advocate for positive change. Don't miss this opportunity to engage with your community and make your voice heard.
