Join us as a volunteer leader for our monthly bike rides along the scenic Montpelier Bike Path! This is a fantastic opportunity to share your love for biking, connect with fellow enthusiasts aged 50+, and help foster confidence, health, and social connections in your community.
What You’ll Do as a Volunteer Ride Leader:
- Lead the Pack: Plan and lead fun, casual bike rides once a month from May to August (timeframe can be shortened if needed).
 - Ensure Rider Safety: Act as the group leader, with a designated “sweeper” for added safety.
 - Create a Welcoming Environment: Choose beginner-friendly routes (3–5 miles, flat, and traffic-safe).
 - Make It Social: Coordinate post-ride gatherings at nearby establishments to relax and share stories.
 - Support Logistics: Collaborate with AARP VT to manage registrations, track attendance, and prepare for each ride (we’ll provide necessary check-in equipment).
