Need help paying that electric bill? GMP lanched a new program for eligible ratepayers.

Electric Bill Assistance Program Launched

FLElectricMeter

A new  program to help Vermonters afford their electricity has just been launched at Green Mountain Power.  Applications for the program are now available -- for GMP customers only.  It can mean 25% off your electric bill and past due bills will be waived for eligible ratepayers. Do you qualify or do you know any other Vermonters who might? Income limits are $22,704 for a couple or $16,764 for an individual.

Energy Assistance Program in Vermont

The Energy Assistance Program helps lower-income Vermonters afford electricity for their homes.  At this time, energy assistance is only available for Green Mountain Power customers.

What assistance is available?

If we determine that you are eligible, you’ll get a 25% discount off the monthly charge for the first 600 kilowatt hours of energy used. This could save you up to $300 a year!

If your application is received by March 15th, 2013, you may also be eligible for a one-time forgiveness of any past due balance you have ( on the day we receive your application).
