New Outreach Director Joins AARP VT

has been appointed to associate state director at AARP Vermont in charge of state and community development.  She will be responsible for developing AARP Vermont’s volunteer capacity on social impact campaigns that improve the quality of life for all Vermonters as they age. In addition, she is responsible for statewide public education efforts and outreach to directly engage AARP Vermont members and their families on the issues that most affect their lives.

 

"We are very fortunate to have Kelly join the AARP Vermont team in a position that will use her considerable talents and strengths to the fullest," said AARP Vermont State Director Greg Marchildon.  "She brings a broad range of experience in community organizing, outreach and development and is well respected across the state."

 

Stoddard Poor comes to AARP following six years at the American Cancer Society where she led advocacy and government relations. As state vice president of health and advocacy initiatives, she managed a host of programs and activities in implementing the Society’s overall business plan.  She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Massachusetts and completed a master’s degree in sustainable development at the School for International Training in Brattleboro, VT. She lives in Montpelier, VT.
