Open Enrollment Deadline Rapidly Approaching

March 31 is the open enrollment deadline for individuals and families to enroll in health insurance coverage for 2014 through Vermont Health Connect, Vermont’s health insurance Exchange.

 

The March 31 deadline applies only to coverage through the private insurance plans in Vermont Health Connect.  Enrollment in Medicaid and Dr. Dynasaur can happen any time.

 

VHAP and Catamount Health end March 31.  Enrollment must be done by March 15 for coverage effective April 1.

 

Financial help paying premiums is available through Vermont Health Connect for individuals with household incomes up to about $46,000/ year and families of four with household incomes up to about $94,000/year.  Individuals with household incomes up to about $34,500 /year and families of 4 with household incomes up to about $70,600/ year are also eligible for reduced out of pocket costs like deductibles, co-payments and co-insurance.
