The Zeta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., in partnership with AARP, invites you to attend a half-day conference which will help you develop strategies to:

-          Grow your savings and manage your debt- learn how and where to cut costs, track expenses and reduce debt; invest and save wisely

-          Prepare and live comfortably in retirement- our interactive workshop guides you through developing a retirement plan; setting financial goals and living in a way that ensures lifelong financial security

-          Maximize your knowledge of Medicare and make it work for you- an in-depth understanding of what Medicare is and what it covers; how to choose the best plan for your needs; paying for Medicare and buying Medicare Supplemental Insurance

Attendees will receive continental breakfast, a buffet lunch, and a complimentary copy of a Financial Literacy Guide written by a distinguished author.

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

 

Jean Cheng Setzfand- the Vice President of Financial Security at AARP, leading the organization’s educational and outreach efforts aimed at helping Americans have financial ‘peace of mind’ in their retirement. Her work focuses on providing consumer-friendly information on money matters, workforce issues, retirement decisions and protecting 50+ consumers from investment fraud.

 

Lynnette Khalfani-Cox, The Money Coach®- a personal finance expert, TV and radio personality, and the author of 10 books including the New York Times bestseller Zero Debt: The Ultimate Guide to Financial Freedom. Once $100,000 deep in credit card debt, Lynnette paid it off and learned how to turn her financial life around. She shares her story of success and teaches millions about proper money management and getting out of debt on programs like The Oprah Winfrey Show, Dr. Phil, Good Morning America and others.

She is an award-winning financial news journalist and former Wall Street Journal reporter for CNN, and contributes to newspapers like The Washington Post, USA Today, and The New York Times, as well as publications from Essence and Redbook to Smart Money. She often appears on CNN, MSNBC and Fox Business Network and contributes to websites like AARP.org and Ebony.com.
