New technologies increase efficiency and productivity to make our lives easier. And, workers need to keep up.
That’s why our State President George Meldrum represented AARP Delaware at a “Future of Work” forum with our own Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester. The event, which took place right on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, addressed a variety of issues relating to how our work environment will change with the increasing onset of artificial intelligence, robotics and automation of tasks.
Reps. Lisa Blunt Rochester, D-Del. and Bryan Steil, R-Wis., co-founded a caucus to address the range of new needs for the “Future of Work.”
“The event brought many voices together to discuss how to create policies that address workplace change, including effective training programs and ways for workers to access high paying jobs well into the future,” said George Meldrum. “It’s great to see positive change but we cannot leave people behind!”
