AARP Delaware will hold a virtual discussion on Wednesday, Sept. 20, to help veterans and their families learn how to spot fraud and to protect themselves.
The free event, featuring state officials and AARP speakers, will focus on the latest scams, including those targeting veterans who are newly eligible for benefits under a new law that expands benefits to veterans exposed to toxins during combat.
The fraud presentation, which runs from noon to 1 p.m., will also touch on health care fraud and impostor scams. To register, go to virtualevents.aarp.org/ DE-Fraud-Forum/en.
