Statement on Gov. Carney’s State of the State Address

AARP Delaware thanks Governor Carney for his dedication to paid leave and more affordable housing during his comments at today’s State of the State Address.

AARP Delaware fully supports these efforts that ease the burden for family caregivers, and helps Delawareans remain in their communities for as long as possible.

“We applaud these efforts,” said AARP Delaware State Director Lucretia Young, “and we look forward to working with the general assembly on other AARP priorities, such as support for family caregivers, aging-in-place, fraud prevention, and transportation and pedestrian safety.”
