At AARP Hawai`i, we want to make sure that everyone eligible to vote knows how to vote and that their vote will count.

That’s why we’re sponsoring news segments on KBFD-TV in Korean.

AARP Hawaii는 모든 유권자들이 투표권을 행사할 수 있도록 유권자 등록방법을

소개하고 유권자의 소중한 한 표의 중요성을 KBFD TV와 협력하여 KBFD 뉴스를 통해

한국어로 알려드리게 되었습니다.

 All U.S. citizens, including whose first language are not English, should know how to register, vote by mail or in-person at a Voter Service Center, and how to avoid mistakes that could lead to your vote not being counted.

영어가 모국어가 아닌 시민권자를 포함한 모든 유권자들을 위해 유권자 등록방법,

우편 투표 방법 또는 직접 투표소 방문을 통한 투표방법 그리고 귀하의 투표가 무효처리 되지 않도록 투표 시에 주의사항 등을 안내 해 드리고 있습니다.

Help is available in Korean and other languages by calling the state Office of Elections at 453-VOTE (8683) or toll-free from the neighbor islands at 800-453-VOTE (8683). and asking for translation services. A translator should be able help you understand how to fill out and return your mail ballot.

무료전화 800-453-VOTE(8683)로 연락하시면 한국어 및 기타 언어로 통역 서비스를 통해 우편 투표용지 작성과 반송 방법의 도움을 받으실 수 있습니다.

The Honolulu Elections Division’s website at honolulu.gov/elections/ can also be translated into Korean and other languages, along with a link to other translated information.

호놀룰루 시에서 운영하는 선거관리부 웹사이트 ‘honolulu.gov/elections/’에서는

해당사이트에서 번역 서비스를 사용하실 수 있으며 링크를 통한 한국어 및 기타 언어의

번역된 정보를 확인하실 수 있습니다. 

If you are registered to vote, you should receive your ballot by July 26^th. If you didn’t receive your ballot, check your voter registration status and update your address by calling the state Office of Elections or going online to elections.hawaii.gov. The website will also have the dates, hours and locations of Voter Service Centers and ballot drop boxes.

만약 유권자 등록을 했지만 7월 26일까지

투표용지를 받지 못했을 경우에는 유권자 등록 상태를 확인하시고 주 선거관리사무국에 전화하시거나 혹은 ‘elections.hawaii.gov’에 접속하셔서 현재 주소로 업데이트 하셔야

합니다. 또한 웹사이트에서는 유권자 서비스센터와 투표용지 투입함의 위치, 운영 날짜와 시간을 확인하실 수 있습니다.

You can register to vote and vote in-person at Voter Service Centers. You can also  return your ballot at official Ballot Drop Boxes to make sure it is received on time.

유권자는 지정된 유권자 서비스센터에서 유권자 등록을

하고 직접 투표하실 수 있습니다.

투표용지를 공식 투표용지 투입함을 이용해 제출하시면 마감시간에 맞출수 있습니다.

Here are some tips to make sure your ballot is counted:

다음으로 투표 시 주의사항입니다.

Vote for only one party’s candidates and in non-partisan races on your mail ballot. If you vote in more than one party’s races during the primary, your ballot will be spoiled and multi-party votes will not be counted.

각 정당과 무소속 후보들 중 하나의 정당 후보들이나 무소속 후보들에게 투표하십시오. 만약 당신이 예비선거 중 하나 이상의 정당을 선택하게 된다면 귀하의 투표용지는

무효처리 됩니다.

If you make a mistake on your ballot, don’t use white-out or scratch out your vote, call your county clerk for a replacement ballot.

또한 투표용지에 실수를 했을 경우 흰 수정액(White-Out)으로 지우거나 직접 수정하면

무효 처리되므로 반드시 선거관리사무국에 전화해 새 투표용지로 다시 작성하여 제출

하셔야 합니다.

If you return your ballot by mail, mail it at least a week before Election Day, Aug. 13 to make sure it arrives on time. Ballots that arrive after 7 p.m. on Aug. 13 will not be counted. Postmarks don’t count. If it’s less than a week before Election Day, drop your ballot at an official drop box or Voter Service Center.

우편 투표는 8월13일 선거일 최소 일주일 전 에는 보내셔야 합니다.

선거일 8월13일 저녁 7시 이후에 도착한 투표용지는 집계되지 않습니다.

투표용지 우편물의 소인 날짜는 적용되지 않습니다.

만약 선거일이 일주일 채 남지 않은 경우에는 공식 투표용지 투입함을 이용하시거나 유권자 서비스 센터에 제출하시기 바랍니다.

Make sure you sign your ballot envelope. If there’s a problem with your signature, your ballot won’t be counted unless you correct the problem by Aug. 22.

투표 봉투 에 서명했는지 반드시 확인하셔야 합니다.

서명에 문제가 있을 경우 8월 22일까지 문제를 해결하지 못하면 해당 투표용지는 집계되지 않습니다.
