Tech Tips Topic of Next Caregiver Wednesday Webinar

Are you family caregiver? There’s an app for that. Actually, there are many apps to help with everything from making sure your loved one is taking the pills and other medications regularly to finding paid caregiving help Technology can also help caregivers monitor loved ones from afar and notify caregivers when someone falls or is in trouble.

Caregivers can learn about the latest technology at a free Caregiving and Technology workshop with AARP’s national caregiving expert Amy Goyer on Wednesday, Jan. 20 at 5 p.m. It’s part of AARP’s weekly Caregiver Wednesday webinar series. The webinar will cover some of the apps and devices available to help caregivers, how to choose technology and how to make sure it works for you.

Goyer is AARP's national family and caregiving expert and moderates our Family Caregivers Discussion Group on Facebook. She has more than 35 years of professional experience serving and advocating for older adults, children and families, and people with disabilities. She has been a family caregiver her entire adult life, caring for her grandparents, parents, sisters and other relatives and friends.
