AARP Eye Center
AARP Indiana is one of 42 state offices participating in Operation Stop Scams, a series of AARP events across the country in April and May. These events coincide with Money Smart Week, April 22-29, a national campaign to help consumers manage their personal finances more effectively.
AARP Indiana is working with police departments, television stations, banks and county governments to host several free shredding events, including one in Evansville on April 21 and five in Indianapolis on April 29. Tax time is a perfect time to get rid of old documents. The events are open to everyone, and in Indianapolis, participants can also recycle small electronics for free or a small fee and can turn in expired prescription medications for safe disposal.
