AARP Indiana is sponsoring several events this month to help Hoosiers with spring cleaning and fighting fraud. The first event offers free paper shredding at Wesselman Park in Evansville on Friday, April 20, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
In addition, AARP is working with Crimestoppers of Central Indiana to offer shredding, recycling of small electronics and computers, and safe disposal of pharmaceuticals at five locations on Saturday, April 21. At these events, consumers are requested to make a $5 donation to Crime-stoppers for each file box of documents shredded and to pay a $10 fee for each glass monitor recycled.
