Every 2 seconds, someone's identity is stolen, and shredding sensitive documents that you no longer need is one way to protect yourself. That's why AARP is hosting a series of FREE community shredding and unclaimed property events. See details below.

FREE SHREDDING
Every two second's someone's identity is stolen and shredding sensitive documents is one way to protect yourself. Gather up your old documents and bring them to be shredded securely on-site by a professional mobile shredding truck. Consumers only—Bring up to three boxes or bags of documents to be shredded, and let's fight fraud together. Suggested items include old documents, canceled or unused checks, credit cards, medical bills, investment account statements, obsolete ID cards, and more.

UNCLAIMED PROPERTY
Representatives from the Louisiana State Treasurer's Office will be available to help residents search the State's unclaimed property database and file a claim. Individuals should bring a valid photo ID and/or
Social Security card.
