While AARP Louisiana’s membership comes from across the political spectrum, its members share similar concerns about access to health care, the role of caregivers and the ability to age while staying in their homes. The Video Voter Guide will help AARP members, and all older voters, understand exactly where the candidates stand, in their own words, before they enter the voting booth on November 21.

According to voter statistics from the Secretary of State’s office, there are more than 1.6 million registered voters in Louisiana aged 45 and older, accounting for 56 percent of all registered voters in the state. Older voters have the potential to set the tone in Louisiana for the next four years.

For information about the November 21 runoff election, including information about voting locations, early voting and sample ballots, AARP encourages its members to visit the Secretary of State’s office online at www.GeauxVote.com.
