Every two second's someone's identity is stolen. In a 2015 report, there were more than 35,000 identity thefts, fraud and other consumer complaints in Louisiana.
Combating fraud continues to be a top priority for AARP Louisiana. Shredding sensitive documents that you no longer need is one way to protect yourself, and the AARP Fraud Watch Network (FWN) is here to help you make that happen.
You can begin spring cleaning after tax season by bringing your personal documents that you no longer need to be shredded at any of the sites listed below.
Suggested items include: bank statements, cancelled checks, credit card junk mail, receipts with identifying information. Documents should be free of large binder clips; staples and paper clips don’t need to be removed. All papers will be shredded on-site in the mobile shredding truck.
All shredding events are free and open to the public. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER online or call 1-877-926-8300.
