The holiday season is a time for family, celebration, and giving. But it’s also a peak season for scammers who are looking to take advantage of your busy schedule and generous spirit. To help you stay safe, AARP Louisiana is hosting a Holiday Fraud Prevention Telephone Town Hall on Wednesday, November 5, at 10 a.m.
We’ll be joined by Carmen Million, President & CEO of the Better Business Bureau of South Central Louisiana, who brings more than 40 years of experience in consumer protection and fraud prevention. She’ll share valuable tips on how to avoid the latest holiday scams.
From fake online shopping deals and package delivery scams to fraudulent charities and gift card tricks, you’ll learn how to spot the warning signs before it’s too late.
This live, interactive event will allow participants to ask questions and hear real-time advice from one of Louisiana’s most trusted experts in fraud prevention. Whether you shop online, donate to causes, or simply want to safeguard your loved ones this season, this conversation will give you the tools to stay protected.
