Want to support meaningful conversations that empower older adults across Louisiana, all from the comfort of your own home? AARP Louisiana is looking for volunteer screeners to help us run our Telephone Town Halls, a powerful tool for connecting thousands of people with trusted experts on the issues that matter most.

What’s a Telephone Town Hall Screener?
During our live, statewide telephone events, callers have the chance to ask questions of experts in real time. As a screener, you’ll be one of the first points of contact, helping us gather callers' questions, ensuring they’re appropriate for the event, and getting them ready to go live on the air. No experience is necessary, as we’ll provide training.

Why Volunteer as a Screener?

  • Volunteer from anywhere; all you need is a quiet space, a phone, and a computer or tablet.
  • Be part of a high-impact event that reaches thousands of people across Louisiana.
  • Get access to important conversations around health, fraud, caregiving, and more.
  • Support your community by helping elevate real voices and questions.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Friendly and reliable volunteers
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet while talking on the phone
  • Available for 1–2 hours during scheduled events
  • Interested in supporting older adults and community engagement
